Prompt #1: Compare one literary text from the Reformation to a literary text from the Renaissance with particular emphasis on how the literature of each time period reflects the society and culture. Be sure to articulate the main similarities/differences and prevalent literary techniques each author uses in the texts you’ve selected from each literary movement.
Essay: Your comparison/contrast essay should be a minimum of 500 words and should provide analysis of the author’s literary techniques as well as how your chosen texts reflect the society and culture of the time period. Remember to include one selection from the Renaissance and one from the Reformation. Justification should be provided in the form of text evidence and research from academic sources.
